Our society is getting into gutters as we jettison all norms of civilised human behaviour for lust of money, greed and unfettered libertine lifestyle the downfall of any people. Media is awash with morbid incidents on a daily basis ranging from dehumanising cannibalism, murders, rape , etc hallmarks of a society run amock, anarchy and we mere mute bystanders. The last bastion of order and discipline was the armed forces. This is no longer so which is greater cause of alarm and disgust. Thanks to our political masters in driving seats the military is a broken institution now with every pillar of its integrity and character demolished the sole attributes which make the military invulnerable and bastion of national pride and security.

Incidents of corruption and direlection of duty have reached climactic proportions. To add to this there are increasing number of cases of molestation of women officers by senior ranks a devastating predilection indicating a collapse in moral fibre of officer class the bulwark of leadership in war. There have been a number of cases. In one the lady officer committed suicide in Jammu and the inquiry is still not made public. Here is yet another case of a lady captain being molested by a senior officer.

This must stop and there aught to be a public backlash of the severest order by the public. We don’t know whether this would happen. But as League we would like to touch your sensitivity as we have a duty here both citizen as also Kshattriya responsibility. Here is yet another rallying point to get our message through. The Jodha message at least showed to all that Rajput is not all dead and lame duck. While we resurrect the past, the present must be saved to consolidate the future.

Let us show our wrath by addressing faxes, telegrams, etc. individually, collectively to the Raksha Mantri and the Chief of Army Staff that without being community focused conveying that this case must become an example not to be forgotten for years to come, of how justice is meted out without remorse to those who sully the dignity of a woman, any woman and bring slight to the profession of arms and national esteem. How such indiscipline is eroding the fighting capability of the armed forces and breeding discontent and disgust? The erring General officer must be stripped of his uniform, dismissed without pension. Care must be taken that no harm comes to this brave girl who has been apparently bold to stand up where most tend to give in under pressure and for greed. If this is not heeded then due retribution will be drawn by the people.
